A woman has been awarded £127,000 by the High Court for caring for her elderly mother before she died.

Bernadette Rogers, a trained nurse, was the primary carer for her mother, who had dementia, for two-and-a-half years until her death in April 2020.

After the death of Sheila Wills, Mrs Rogers withdrew £100,000 from her mother's account.

She maintained that her brother, Andrew Wills, who was appointed executor of their mother's will, had told her to take money in recognition of an agreement they had over the care she gave.
