A British woman has drowned in the Bahamas after attempting to save her two children, who were swept away while snorkelling.
The 36-year-old, who has not been named, died on Tuesday after being pulled from the water.
She was holidaying with her husband and two sons on the island of Bimini when she was swept away by a strong current, police said. The boys were rescued from the water.
A spokesman for the Royal Bahamas Police Force said the family had been on a snorkelling expedition to the south of the island.
