US special envoy Steve Witkoff arrived in St. Petersburg, Russia, on Wednesday, where he will hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin aimed at advancing proposals to end to the war in Ukraine and create a pathway to broader negotiations.
Coming straight from a Tuesday summit with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky in Norway, Witkoff continued his whistle-stop tour to St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Airport, where he was greeted by Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev, photos sent to CNN show.
