Neighbour paves over next door’s garden in ‘land grab’ row

A railway engineer paved over part of his GP neighbour's garden while building a driveway in an acrimonious "land grab", a court heard.

Dr Piers Connor, who advised on the Channel Tunnel project, and his partner Prof Christine Pasquire ordered workers to install a block-paved driveway to make it easier for them to drive wide vehicles into a horse paddock they own next to their £615,000 house in Kirby Bellars, Leicestershire.

The couple fell out with Dr Dawn Moore-Elphick and her husband Richard Moore-Elphick in 2017 after Dr Connor paved over a tapering 1.4m-wide strip of land that was part of their garden.
