Nintendo, which unveiled the results of the first half of its fiscal year 2027 earlier today, has now said it has access to enough quantities of memory to manufacture more Switch 2 consoles.
As a result, the platform holder does not plan to increase the price of the Switch 2. That's according to Reuters, citing Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa.
Nintendo, which has so far sold 26m Switch 2 consoles, has already raised the price of the console earlier this year. The price hikes, which took effect on 1st September in the US, Canada, Japan and Europe, saw the console's price increase by $50 / €30 / ¥10,000. Although that was technically the first price hike for the console itself, prior to the Switch 2's launch last year, Nintendo raised the price of Switch 2 accessories in the US as a result of the Trump Administration's tariffs.
