Russell Brand's wife has told a court that it was "difficult for him to be monogamous" when they started dating.
Laura Brand, who has stood by the comedian, said she had found his promiscuity "difficult" and had been "heartbroken" when they initially broke up in 2007.
Brand, 51, is facing seven charges, including rape and sexual assault, against six women between 1999 and 2009. He denies all the charges.
